Responsibilities:
Provide accurate, balanced and timely medical and scientific information to Health Care Practitioners and patients; provide information, insights and recommendations to Brand Team; report adverse events on marketed products to drug safety.
- Provide medical and scientific information to healthcare professionals and patients to ensure the effective and safe use of our medications.
- Provide medical and scientific support to internal customers in order to maximize brand effectiveness
- Ensure product safety to protect patient and the commercial potential for our brand
- Capture and share knowledge to transfer best practice
- Continuous quality improvement of processes to increase efficiency and reduce cost
Requirements:

3.Medical Science Liaison Intern(Location: Shanghai)
Department: Medical Affairs
Responsibilities:
- Support to maintain clinical/scientific expertise in disease state management, AZ brands, emerging therapies and the competitive landscape
- Support to engage target KOLs to deliver information, customer inquiries, data presentations, non-promotional scientific meeting specific to AZ’s products and relevant TA
- Support to Identify, gather, analyze to internal stakeholders with new knowledge, actionable items related to brand strategy and scientific development based on customers’ perspectives
- Support to develop and maintain relationships with key external (Health Care Professionals / Key Opinion) and internal customers on the Investigator Sponsored Study Program
- Support to identify pre-clinical, clinical and post-marketing study investigators in alignment with Development Plan
- Learn and adhere to internal standard processes and comply with regulatory and compliance
Requirements:
- Master or advance degree in science or clinical qualification, with relevant experience in clinical practice. Or during Bachelor degree phase, major in clinical medicine pharmacology or other similar field, prefer to have strong medical background
- Demonstrated expertise in discussing scientific content with multiple types of audiences
- Good English literature comprehension and interpretation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills

4.SP&A Intern(Location: Shanghai)
Department: Scientific Partnering & Alliances
Job Description:
- Conduct market & scientific intelligence using public data sources, analyst reports and AZ proprietary databases for biotech companies & academic institutes in China and other emerging markets
- Collect data on pipeline assets of biotech
- Collect data on scientific publications which are relevant to AZ’s research interests
- Support business managers on data analysis or financial modeling
- Build PowerPoint presentations for research findings and for other in-house presentations as needed
Requirements:
- MD, Master or Ph.D. candidates in life sciences (Biology, Immunology, Pharmacy, etc.); or current MBA students with life science background preferred
- Strong competitive intelligence, analytic skills and presentation skills
- Relevant experience in business development, external collaborations, in or out-licensing, acquisitions is an advantage

5.Clinical Development Associate-Intern(Location: Shanghai)
Department: China Clinical Operations Hub
Job Description:
- Contribute to the clinical study delivery which plays a key part in the drug development process, with many tasks involved in study start-up, execution, close-out and reporting in compliance with Good Clinical Practice and AstraZeneca processes
- Collaborate with clinical study delivery team (CDA, CDAM and CDM) in taking actions to address issues as they arise
- Support in setting up and maintaining information in many systems of AstraZeneca, eg, Global Electronic Library, Share point, electronic Trial Master File, Study email boxes, etc
- Contribute to the preparation of internal and external meetings: liaise with internal and external participants, meeting room booking, TC set up, slides compilation, binder preparation, material distribution, etc
- Initiate, maintain and archive study documents, ensure template and version compliance
- Document formatting and other administrative tasks, e.g. printing, copying, distribution etc
- Support China hub initiatives as appropriate
Requirements:
- Duration of working days – full time or at least 4 working days per week for at least 6 months
- Bachelor’s degree, in Life science/ clinical education (Medical/ Nursing/ Pharmacy)
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills
- Attention to details
- Basic knowledge of GCP, clinical trial design, execution and operations (especially study documents) would be beneficial
- Computer proficiency
- Excellent knowledge of spoken and written English
